for being AWOL? At least for delaying or denying aid to blue states ("I just don't call them" )? He described himself as a "wartime president". Many others in government and the media are calling it a war.
So, question 1: Can Congress declare actual war on a disease? (Like the war on terror or drugs?) .
Question 2: If so, wouldn't any act against US citizens that helps the "enemy" be considered treason?

Up against that kind of misinformation, many MANY will get infected and MANY will die.

The enemy isn't holed up in some military barracks but rather in the boardrooms of Fox "News" and National Hate Radio. America's problem is that you can't aim a ray gun at someone or give them a pill and have them become suddenly rational. Were that the case, President Obama would have been elected in 2016, after the two terms of President Hillary Rodham Clinton, whose two terms came after the two terms of President Al Gore.

He held nuremberg rallies. Soon, we should have nuremberg trials.

(25,467 posts)Treason requires an armed conflict with a declared enemy, so it doesn't apply.
Besides, Trump's "wartime president" nonsense is the bleating of an eight-year-old and little more. In a just world, he'd be laughed off the stage.
He's guilty of plenty of other things, though.
