"As coronavirus cases continued to soar last weekend, Dylan Lynch got an urgent call from the University of Illinois at Chicago Medical Center: It desperately needed protective gear for workers who might be exposed to patients with the highly contagious and sometimes fatal disease.
By Monday, Lynch and two others came up with some help for a shortage that is plaguing hospitals across the country: a face shield made from thin plastic that could be manufactured at UIC’s Engineering Makerspace in 20 seconds."

I have been reading here for quite a while & decided to dive into this cool, blue pool. 
I am a retired psychotherapist, who interned in bereavement at a hospice & hope to be able to help support the group with articles of hope & ideas to cope...all while voicing my outrage, of course! 😊
A good month before the shit hit the fan, I bought a small supply of masks for personal use as I'm high risk.
I had to venture out into trumpvirus land for necessities about a week ago, so I donned a mask & went to walhell.
As I shopped, I stopped to thank the workers, almost exclusively young African Americans. I begged them to register to vote & help get the racist out of the white house before he kills us all. (Near as I can tell, Democratic party barely exists in TN. Calls & emails offering to volunteer have consistently gone unanswered.)
Then I came across the old, white, southern prick - more refined than the typical redneck types. This old guy looked at me & laughed. I told him, "Laugh now, but you'd better vote that orange asshole out before he kills us all!" His eyes just about popped out of his ugly head.
So much for laughing in the face of reality! 👍
