Animals were here long before us, and they'll be here long after us.

This is a suburb just west of Denver. Fairly big pieces of property but not the "country". Sometimes we'll see a coyote during the nighttime crossing the street in a zigzag pattern going from property to property. I always suppose that they're looking for any food left out for pets or the pets themselves. These days, since we have had an explosion of wild rabbits, the coyotes would have good hunting.

Last summer I was chatting with a Lowes checker. He said that a coyote was threatening him and his dog while they were walkng on a piece of open ground. The area used to be a YMCA that closed. The building had already been razed and the ground went back to being open and grassy. So people generally used it to walk their dogs. A coyote followed him getting closer and closer. He and his dog got away quickly but he said he knew what it felt like to be hunted. Can you imagine?!

they must feel so free they regained their land. Scary though.

I wonder nature is breathing a sigh of relief right now, but I read that this horrible regime we have are easing EPA regulations.

I wonder if there will be more of them this year? Usually they are nocturnal and quite shy. IF they let us go this year, I guess we'll find out.

I don't know to what extent the maritime traffic in the Boston area has been curtailed, but if there has been any kind of significant reduction, I'll bet the whales will be having a glorious summer. The great white sharks, too, unfortunately, since the seals will have more fish to eat.

We live across the street from the Music Concourse & never let our dogs off leash over there for 2 reasons: coyotes; & Fulton Street traffic.

It's happening all over the world!

Wildlife Animals Are Roaming The Streets During Coronavirus Quarantine

In a time when many countries in the world are under quarantine or lockdown, nature continues its thing and wildlife animals are adjusting to the new and unexpected human absence.

In countries like Japan, Italy, and Thailand, people observed animals roaming the streets freely and shared some of the photos and videos on social media. People usually responded either in shock or awe.

Yelping in the evening round-up and again in the morning split-up.
I love coyotes. When the rain is right, and they are healthy, their coats
are beautiful. They are very smart and adaptable. I respect them.
Of course I'm in the country, not on the streets of San Francisco.

Coyotes will be around, long after humanity finds a means of extinguishing itself from the planet.
