Young Males In San Diego County Have Highest Coronavirus Infection Rate

"Of those that have tested positive for the coronavirus in San Diego, nearly half of the 242 infected are between the ages of 20 and 39. People aged 40-through 59 years-old tested positive for coronavirus just shy of 32 percent of those infected. The next largest group are those 60 and above with 16 percent."

"The same can be said across the state. Of the 2,102 who tested positive for the coronavirus in California, those aged 18-49 were the highest age group, with 970 positive cases. The next highest age group were 50-to-64 year-olds with 493, followed by 449 senior citizens aged 65 and older."

"Medical experts say it is still too early to know which age groups will be hit the hardest hit."

maybe older people are taking this more seriously, hence the 20-somethings are the ones out there getting infected? Just a theory.

They're having way too much fun to consider that they just might be mortal.

On edit: immortal became mortal!

and had to stay at a Verizon store for 2 hours since many stores are closed now I was told. I wore my gloves and mask the whole time. The store assistant was under 30 and we were chatting while waiting. When I told him about this article he didn't seem too concerned. Also I told him that I had to be hospitalized for 4 days a few years ago and AFTER Bl. Shield paid their $30,000 part of the bill I was left with a $4,000 bill ($1,000 a day). That got his attention and concern a lot more than the other info.

They are probably the highest asymptomatic group, too. 14 days of walking around infecting others.

The article said they are trying to figure out why it hits males more than females too. They have a few theories.

If not, then why were they tested?

Is it possible that their elders have been self-isolating and are simply not getting sick?

Perhaps more to the point, how sick are they?
