There are three freedoms essential to any proper democracy

These are:

1. Of Access to Information;
2. Of Thought;
3. Of Speech.

Of, these, beautifully expressed by Founding Fathers of the USA, these, the first is still (it is the foundation of the power of the powerful) restricted (but less so than usually); the second is, in the minds of so many, heavily manipulated; and the third is under threat.
