There are complaints that the orange asshole defunded C.D.C. If it had full funding, what could it do against a virus that has no vaccine?
Set up quarantine stations? Distribute face masks? Tell people to wash their hands and cough into their sleeves?

I think the lack of a central organizational structure means, hospitals aren't ready or told how to handle cases via lessons learned, there's no mobilization of supply lines (we get a lot of said supplies from China which is currently not manufacturing new ones for some odd reason), no organizion of vaccine development (whose making it, who is paying for it, who gets it first). There the other fact, the breakout if when it occurs will be likely regional, not national, how do we contain the area, how do we pay people out of work up to a month, how to we get food, water, electricity, ...
I mean, honestly, it takes actual thinking to handle such an out break. We see what China is doing. There's no way we're prepared to do that, and we've had a several month head start, we should be prepared by now.
