I think it's just a matter of time before they're all infected, I would be beside myself.

I wonder if their internet is restricted? I know it's too slow for them to watch videos on YouTube. I almost hope it is, the last thing they need is to be reading all the horror stories, not knowing what true and what isn't. What's happening to them is a disaster of epic proportions. And now the incubation period has changed to 24 days.

It's a safe bet the vast majority of people on a cruise have a smartphone.

And the only light note is that an Australian couple had two cases of wine delivered to their balcony by drone.

The people in the inner cabins don’t even have windows. I can’t even imagine. 😳

liked enclosed spaces and being stuck in a cabin, probably with stale air, would be the end of me.

Which you would have chosen anyway if you don't like enclosed spaces. So they can go outside on their private balconies - if they are permitted to do that. At the very lease, they can open the door and get some fresh air.

We took a cruise two years ago and even though we had one of the smallest cabins, it had a veranda.

I wonder what they are doing about food etc. How is the crew handling this? This would be awful!

No windows. I’m guessing the price difference is significant so as usual, the wealthier people have greater chance of survival.

Edited to add that people are allowed on the deck for a half hour or so every day - on rotation. The people with balconies aren’t as likely to go to the deck so again, they have better odds.

The US should be evacuating the Americans to proper quarantine facilities.

I see one, I wonder what kind of precautions they are taking when it comes to food prep. This infection is sneaky, people are only testing positive the first time in 30-50 percent of cases.

Crew members are in tight quarters, so it seems like a given that they will all get it. Crew members make and bring them their food. If people are sick and can infect others before they know it, that seems like a good way to infect everyone. Maybe if they completely sanitize the kitchen and bring in new people just to operate it and deliver the food.
