How Lisa Murkowski votes or if the Chief Justice permits witnesses in the trial? The die is set.

Donald Trump is going to be acquitted, no matter how this little chapter plays out.

Nobody really expected Democrats to get 67 votes to acquit. But they did want to get out the truth to the American people. They succeeded a great deal with their impeachment. But they needed John Bolton and Mulvaney and a few others, to get to the whole truth. Republicans prevented that from happening.

However, in the big picture, it doesn't matter what they do today.

What is important is the election in November and will the people demand that the Republicans pay a price for selling out our country?

1. Today is mostly about the superbowl

The superbowl on Sunday will have a Hannity / Trump ass kissing lovefest at halftime. I don't know the number of viewers but I'm guessing it will be 30 M or so.

Trump wants to claim acquittal and "exoneration" in the interview. To do that they need to bring the proceedings to a close today... i.e. no witnesses.

And that is what today is all about.

2. People keep saying that only the elections

this November matter. What the hell makes anyone believe that the election won’t be rigged AF? How naive can one be? They’ve shown they will stop at nothing to stay in power, to keep trump in office, to stack the courts, to keep truth hidden, but yet we’re supposed to believe they’ll be righteous with election integrity? Damnit, they rigged the last one!!!!!! Hillary won with 3M more votes, but somehow exactly the votes needed in the counties that mattered for the electoral college to swing trump’s way worked out just right. What a miracle!! Please.... It’s not who votes that counts, it’s who counts the votes. No fuckin way these ultra corrupt, power hungry men will leave something as powerful as voting to chance.
