❤️ Valentines Day at Waffle House - they are dimming the lights and taking reservations

Waffle House Is Dimming the Lights and Taking Reservations for Valentine’s Day

What could be more romantic than an affordable night out beneath the warm yellow glow of a Waffle House sign?

Looking to smother and cover that special someone with love this Valentine's Day? This February 14th, Waffle House locations across the country are serving up affordable, one-of-a-kind date nights beneath the warm glow of their iconic yellow signs.

This year, close to 200 restaurants in 21 states will be taking reservations, offering special menu items, dimming the lights and classing up their Formica tables with candles and white tablecloths.

Waffle House's Valentine's Day tradition reportedly began in 2008 at a location in John's Creek, Georgia. An influx of customers dined at this restaurant every Valentine's Day, so the manager decided to make the experience extra special.

Find a participating Waffle House location near you at WaffleHouse.com.

May Valentine's Day always be a green on FEMA's Waffle House disaster scale.

I bet the people who come here will be as happy as most in high end restaurants.

Best save your sorrow for those who stay home quarreling, whose idea of a good time is a rerun of a sitcom episode they'd missed and of a big night a trip to the ER for a broken toe.

Eating at a diner is a luxury that they will never know. That is a real description of a very sad life.

There are A LOT of people in this country hurting financially, and Waffle House might be a big deal to them. What the chain is doing for Valentine's looks festive and I imagine will be appreciated.

Do you know how thrilled I would be to be able to go to The Waffle House for Valentine's Day?

Heck, I'd go anywhere. I'd be happy to sit on the curb and share a sandwich with someone.

When you can turn a New Yorker into "Scattered Smothered and Covered" with a Pecan (Waffle), you are doing something right.

It's all about simple, excellent food that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. I have never had a bad meal at a Waffle House and the coffee is fantastic. Love Bourdain, love Waffle House. So glad the two of them had a chance to meet.
