Stop wasting our time, McConnell

Skip this sham of a trial, and just have Republican senators make the following public statement to the American people:

”We know that Donald Trump is a corrupt madman, who is guilty of the charges against him – but we don’t give a shit, and we’re going to acquit him anyway.”

That’s what this is all coming down to anyway – so why bother with this charade?

The country already knows you’re a traitor, so why pretend otherwise? Why continue this ridiculous pretence that you and your party are willing to uphold your oaths of office, when all of you have amply demonstrated that you’ve abandoned any principles you once allegedly had?

Making the above statement wouldn’t come as a shock to anyone. Everyone knows the GOP is now a collection of shameless, self-serving sycophants who will throw our very democracy under the bus without a second thought. We also know that many of you are up to your eyeballs in the same corruption that that has led to your “pResident’s” impeachment in the first place.

So just DO IT, Moscow Mitch. Just come out and say it, straight and simple:

”We know that Donald Trump is a corrupt madman, who is guilty of the charges against him – but we don’t give a shit, and we’re going to acquit him anyway.”

In future, you can at least refer back to that statement as that one memorable time you were completely honest.

If so, I bet someone will try to say something similar in tone before they get hauled out and into a paddy wagon. I hope protesters will be out in droves at the trial tomorrow.

The more this trial get gets dragged out, the more airtime the Dems get to state their case in a very clever and indirect way. And right now the Dems are killing it!

I say, "Keep dreaming up more amendments, Chuck!" Trump's "Dream Team" is no match for Adam Schiff!
