Did anyone watch Deadline Whitehouse ?

With Nicolle Wallace and guests?

Jeremy Bash and Heidi Przybyla were both very, very seriously attempting to discuss the situation our country is confronting. Our democracy is in a crisis.

They were discussing the NSA and CIA withholding intelligence from the Intelligence Committee. Adam Schiff was shown in a clip, commenting about it. It is a very serious matter.

How can the Republican Senate not see what is happening? They are asleep at the wheel. There should be an emergency session of the Gang of Eight. (Or Seven?) They should be communicating with each other. The partisan divide has gone too far.

It is more important to stop Trump's conviction and retain GOP control of the WH & Senate.

I'm sure they'll regret it all after November 2024.

I think we've got a great shot in 2020, but the GOP Senate won't find their souls until they're not needed - be that the 2nd week in this November, or the 2nd week in November 2024.

All sorts of things "should be" happening, I totally agree. Emergency meetings, the FBI should be flying into action to look into everything that has come out over the past week (and before), grand juries should be summoned.

This is an absolute crisis.

I keep thinking we should all be in the streets, but we're stuck, paralyzed. Because not enough people are worried? Because we still have something to lose? Are we too comfortable, too confused? Overwhelmed and exhausted? I don't know.

...at the beginning of Trump.

But there comes a time, young people, when you have to stop waiting for grandma and grandpa to do the heavy lifting (or, in this case, the heavy marching). Because we are all your grandma and grandpa now, and for most of us our joints are giving out.

You're all grown up now, and snarking "Okay, Boomer" at us is not going to save the country or the planet. We tried, and past a certain point it wasn't ever generational warfare, it was always class warfare, which you are experiencing in the here and now.

All the best,

Hekate

strategy is,refuse to pass any and all legislation until after Nov,5. That way,if he still has the Senate, well get ready to pay the price of lost Democracy. McConnell is in this for Power and Money, nothing more and nothing less. If his polls show him loosing int August, watch for him to Bail.

If the Dems do not use the right Messaging in the next ninety days, well Mitch has us by the short ones. Time to drop the hammer on this POS.

Vlad, or a billionaire russian oligarch, can arrange for MM to "win".

That's what hackers do. They did, and they will do it again, in all the right races.

Every race that does not have paper ballots should be suspect. PLUS, every race in every swing state that insured the "rigged" win in 2016, are also suspect.

They (those races) should all be watched under a high intensity microscope.

Name the leaders: Mussolini, Stalin, Hitler. There were minor league despots, too. In some quarters the fight for freedoms of the 19th century encountered some dictators - Napoleons, Bourbons, Czars to name a few.

You know what they did. You know how they got there - no one in the know dared oppose them. No one out of the know had any power to stop them.

It's that simple. Don't make it complicated. Understand it. Prepare to try to survive.

It has not been around all that long. I fear a tipping point could bring us to despotism much quicker than most might imagine.

When viewing recorded human history, democracy is the exception, not the rule.

Whether we like it or not, we may need to be in the streets, and soon.

The tape that showed Nixon asked the CIA to get the FBI to stop the investigation into the burglary. Using the CIA to manipulate the FBI, or intelligence in general was what that was all about. And a majority of the GOP went along with it and got rid of him.

Here it sounds like Trump is telling the CIA and NSA to bury evidence.

GOP senators should be asked how that is any different.

Trump's consolidation of power is frightening. And we have a bunch of wusses and traitors to the Constitution in the senate content on letting this happen.

Trump fights hard. When I heard our candidates arguing about who-said-what two or three years ago, I cringed. They need to bring cannons to this knife fight.

They are all in on this, excited to see our nation burn.

Why should they? They will be fine, they are the masters.
