It is so important that it is covered up as best as possible.

That says a lot. Coverage of lies, diversions, excuses and more obstruction of justice while watching servants of the people break their oaths is not something you want on TV. It screws with their reelection cravings and also reveals party over country.

He knows EVERYBODY. They should provide him with full protection, plus his family. Problem is, all those involved might be compromised.

I think that the average citizen perhaps not even paying much attention would take note and at least ask why they can't see the trial. This could backfire on the GOP. Isn't that also some breach of the Constitution?

Part of that strategy is preventing as many visuals of the outrages he's committing as possible. Come November, "Independent" voters won't remember what all the fuss was about and will blame Dems for partisanship. That's his bet.

This will be the crowning glory of his career.

He has been in the Senate for 35 years. Kentucky will never live him down.
