Or drive-by assaults with hammers!

It's not the guns that kill.

It was all we could afford. My wife worked days, I worked nights.

Whenever I heard gunshots, or any kind of disturbance really, I used to take our kids to the back bedroom and we'd play on the floor.

Our next door neighbor was an alcoholic who'd never recovered from the murder of his son in a drug deal gone bad. His other son was still selling drugs.

I hate U.S.A. gun culture. I've seen too many horrible things. Gun fetishes are disgusting.

Even in "nice" neighborhoods guns bring horrors -- from suicides, murder-suicides, people shooting friends and family they mistake for intruders, and cops shooting people because so many cops don't have the temperament or training to use firearms wisely.

We were just in Fresno last week - spent many years visiting family members who live in the city and surrounding areas.

The whole city has moved to the Clovis side, it seems like.

Stay safe. I certainly wish the city and all its residents the best. Have always enjoyed my visits there.
