https://act.moveon.org/event/impeach-and-remove-attend/search/Rachel Maddow just announced it will be on Tues night so I just checked the site again and it has changed in the last two hours. Now it says both Tues PM and Sunday, depending on your city. We need people, lots and lots of people, to show up!

450+ protests will be on Sunday and others will be held Tues PM. Check the link to verify your city's location, date and time for your local protest. This is getting organized as I type since the Wed vote was only announced late last night.
Impeach & Remove Events are ON: The Nobody Is Above the Law network has activated.
Events are called for Tuesday, December 17th at 5:30 p.m. local time, but check your local event for a confirmed time and location. Numerous reports indicate that the House will vote on impeachment on Wednesday. December 18th.

I have been ready for almost two months when I first heard of it. Nobody has heard of it when I have told them about it. My sign and I are ready to go with a 30 min. notice.

(51,587 posts)I don't think there will be a huge turn out though since no one knows it is even happening. Damn! Oh well, I'll be there with bells on.

(10,885 posts)While our larger cities have held Dem protests , the smaller towns are getting more and more active and the number of events is increasing. I have mobility issues healing from back surgeries and have difficulty attending the large mobile gatherings. Tuesday's event will be in an area familiar to me, so hopefully I'll be able to navigate it.

(8,231 posts)area of these long island events....I cannot trek into the city so I'm grateful there are plenty of protests in the burbs. I don't think you'd see that years ago it was the city or nothing.
I'm sorry I can't scrape up anybody to go but I do and I'm loud and I bring signs. =)

(51,587 posts)I am very loud since I was a teacher and a sub and had to yell over tons of little kids for 15 years. I also bring a tambourine if there is marching taking place. This protest doesn't seem to include a march.

(1,997 posts)The bay area, for example has about 20 separate ones, some quite close to each other. I understand that people want convenience, but to really affect change, I think huge crowds make more of a difference than a bunch of small ones.

I wrote to the local organizer Thurs. and asked if it was going to be Sunday or Tues since the original announcement from last Oct said both days and I wanted clarification. The original post with the link is no longer up and has been updated since Thurs. I wish it were more unified and coordinated.
Today my neighbor said he is going tomorrow too. I don't know where he heard of it. I am hoping that the few Sunday protests will be in the News and let more people know that it will also be happening on Tues and perhaps inspire them to protest too.
