(645 posts)I'm sure the mood in that area in anti-trump. I remember in 2008 seeing a sea of Obama-Biden signs around that area. I think he went to The University of the South associated with the Episcopal Church also a fairly liberal academic area.

(5,814 posts)I used to be unsure what to think about him, especially since Joe Scar. likes him so much. I think Meacham likes to play it straight, criticizing both GOP and Dems when warranted, but since the GOP is so messed up in comparison, he correctly hammers them.

(14,564 posts)and was a good bit more tepid about 45 at first, but increasingly seems to have reached a point where he knows this is so absurdly past any point of reason that he can't do the level the playing field thing.
