Overturn the results of the election?

The Russpublicans keep chanting about overturning the will of the people. In 2018, we had a fucking nationwide referendum. The entire House was up for election. The turnout was the highest for a midterm election since 1914 and the Democrats margin was +8.5%. I think the people have spoken pretty clearly.

... was overturned when the electoral college gave the presidency to the loser of the popular vote.

When are people going to understand that impeaching and removing a president is NOT overturning an election. Were that the case (and right now, I wish it were), it would mean that everything that president did in office would be erased - including every judge appointed, and every piece of legislation he signed into law.

Removing Trump from office would be no different than removing the corrupt CEO of a corporation - it doesn't 'overturn' his having been hired in the first place; it simply terminates his employment.

- Install Hillary Clinton as president
- Replace Gorsuch, Kavanaugh, and all of Trump's federal court appointees with judges of Hillary's choosing
- Rejoin the Paris climate treaty
- Repeal the massive tax cut for billionaires
- Move our troops back into position to defend our Kurdish allies in Syria.

etc, etc, etc, etc, etc.

Trump's impeachment does not bring about any of those things.
