The House should wait until January to vote on the Articles of Impeachment

According to the latest news reports, the full House will vote on two Articles of Impeachment next week.

But this seems like bad timing to me. The public will be distracted by the start of the holidays and won't pay as much attention.

And why is there a need to rush the process anyway?

Wouldn't the impact be greater if the vote is put off until January?

There is some expectation that Senate Republicans will stretch out the trial to force many of our candidates off of the road leading up to the early primaries.

Remember the momentum when mueller report was first release? Then delay and big mo faded.

Remember the momentum when mueller testified ? And it faded again

Delay and momentum will fade.

He put off impeachment and nafta 2 until he can get the budget done. So it won't be earlier than that anyway.

The house and senate really don't want to be working over xmas (who does), so nobody is really going to bitch.

After thinking about this some more, I do see one possible benefit of voting next week.

Because then it will be hanging over trump all through the holidays. Most likely he will be very angry, and anything that makes him angry is good.

Maybe he will spend a lot of time whining about it, and tweeting out angry insults.

So it probably won't be a "happy holidays" for trump.

examine their consciences and oaths of office, hopefully with help from family and friends.

Not Mitch, or the 7 Strong Men (a famous Russian vory mafia in Ukraine) who've accepted Bravatnik, Parnas, Fruman and Firtash millions.

Just maybe the rest.

The thing about impeachment is that it sticks. Once he's impeached, he will forever be impeached. It will hang over his head like a cloud. Doing it now means that, no matter what happens in the meantime - be it a Senate trial, no trial, additional articles, etc. - he will be impeached and can never remove that stain.

So I'm fine with doing it now if the Democratic leadership has determined that it's time to make its move. If they do it before the holidays, he'll still be impeached afterward. People will be paying attention.

There won't be an "impact".

The trumpanzees are entrenched...they like this...cranks them up.
The Democratic side is all in....that's not going to be impacted.

The cake is baked about Impeachment.....Indies are the only unknown....I don't think there's going to be a big move there. Conviction....no impact

If there's going to be an impact it going to be the Senate trail...not done by House rules. That scares me.
