Next the gun nuts will start saying that the 2A should only apply to American citizens...

Forgetting, of course, that The Constitution applies to EVERYONE within our borders.

Exactly. If the 1st amendment applies to corporations, the 2nd amendment applies to everyone. n/t John1956PA Dec 2019 #1

Because Adam Lanza, Dylann Roof, Nikolas Cruz, Jason Dalton, and more all fell within that age range when they decided to kill their fellow Americans... I'm not sure what militia service they were providing.

And it would be better to find common ground in tragedy than to politicize. May or may not have been an act of terror. We can all agree that people bent on terror should not be able to acquire the means to wreck evil. Maybe build bridges and understanding of how this relates to other tragedies that have been in the news. This isn't the only incident to fit the definition of terror, but were not labeled as such.

they certainly are not god given. That being said, if we feel that certain civil rights are important enough to enumerate in a written Constitution then they should apply to all within our country.

They seem to think think that the 2A should apply to everyone worldwide.

Ever heard them talk about those poor "oppressed" people in countries that don't have a 2nd amendment?

I suppose they might do as you suggest, but what they are doing now is worse.
