Let's say the dems win the presidency (we hope) and we install a legitimate AG. Can Barr be prosecuted for his actions protecting Trump?

or just move on like happens so much when one side leaves "quietly".

(14,686 posts)But if he does he could have to testify about everything he did, and if he lies under oath, he can be prosecuted for perjury.
He won't be able to take the 5th for anything he was pardoned for. If he tries, he can be charged with obstruction.
It's definitely a double edged sword.

(37,312 posts)is about 6 months older than I am. I conduct my life in such a way that it is highly unlikely that any of the time I have left to live will be spent in jail.
Barr does not need to be a shill for trump.

(14,951 posts)Biden is the poll leader. And Biden was part of the Obama admin which did not prosecute Wall Street banksters or Bush admin war criminals. They did not have the stomach for it.
And, to be fair, prosecuting political opponents (like Trump wants to do) looks inherently dirty, even though sometimes the people being prosecuted absolutely deserve it (like Trump et al would).
