Rachel: WaPo reports only two articles of impeachment to be drafted

Abuse of power and Obstruction of Congress.

Looks like they are going as narrow as possible, and ignoring articles for bribery and Obstruction of Justice, which IMO should have been the 4 minimum articles introduced.

If the Democratic caucus can't agree on the four essential articles of impeachment, then perhaps we need some new blood in 2020.

Say he is impeached and the Senate acquits. There is nothing in the Constitution that says he can’t be impeached again. Again and again. And again and again.

Nobody cares about Obstruction of Congress and Abuse of Power gains us nothing since folks in the center and right think he's not powerful enough.

Keep it simple and cram it down their throats quickly before people get tired of it. Most folks don't really enjoy seeing GOPers skewered, like we do.

by people who don't know a fraction of what Pelosi knows and don't have a clue what her long-term strategy is.

It's particularly amusing seeing people who, just a couple of days ago, were instructing her to hold off on doing any articles at all until next year, now complaining because she's not presenting every possible article of impeachment right now.

Too many court cases (including Trump's taxes) pending that could impact both the public's perception and the Senate's response.

easy to understand, much harder to dispute. Then continue other investigations and law suits all the way to election day. This will media occupied instead focusing on trumps campaign. Yes, dem nominee will get no meaningful airtime but it was gonna happen either way.
