Unless I missed something, I think that speaks volumes about how panicked and lost rePuticans are at this point. They have no fact witnesses. They have no facts to defend their lawless rePutican pResident. It's all about damage control and flinging pointless Red Herring arguments and whining about the color of apples in January.
The congressional steamroller is flattening the rePutican party and laying it naked for all the world to see. Putin must be pissed at the incompetence of the rePutican lawmakers he's been bankrolling.
Nancy Pelosi does have them in her wheelhouse. Democrats, be proud and be vocal. We are the patriots that will be remembered for saving our republic.

(18,486 posts)I stopped carrying a traditional "briefcase" years ago. But I do always carry a professional-looking bag - the more important the meeting or event, the more elegant my carrier.
But no matter what the event, I never show up anywhere carrying my papers in a grocery sac.

As a woman, I found that hanging those bags from my arm was much easier than carrying a heavy briefcase or any other bag by a handle, and that hand was left free to carry coffee or a water bottle, since I use my right hand for my cane.

(14,226 posts)In the dem council (judiciary) opening, he refuted the contention it was too early to impeach him, that more evidence is needed, and that the evidence is "thin".
I'm pretty sure the gop toads tried to push those points as well.
Maybe he wasn't called out by name (though I thought he was), he was called out by opinion.
I listened for all 9 hours, but I have to admit I muted a lot of the gop bile.

(40,149 posts)His testimony about how this is an impeachment on "the thinnest of evidence" was mentioned a few times by republicans, but I recall he was mentioned only briefly. He was also refuted by the democrats counsel.

(9,903 posts)... testimony was referenced. One of the Republican questioners said he was not a Trump supporter - that elevated Turley, I'm sure!

(22,644 posts)He's supposed to be their constitutional lifeline. I would have figured his testimony would have been repeated throughout.
Sounds like tRump's axis of evil in congress only mentioned Turley's name in passing.
What a dud!

(22,663 posts)A Facebook "friend" who was a decent person back when we were college students spouted off about "the deep state" and "disloyal staff" and Hunter Biden. I just asked why Trump won't let his staff testify if has has nothing to hide, and why Republicans keep wondering why the most important witnesses haven't testified

Or maybe just boil it down to the basics: rePUTINs.

Marry the two concepts. Make them inseparable. Weld them together steely tight so you cant think of one without the other.
