He is also a member of the House Rules Committee and I watched him in action when they were first marking up what became H. Res 660 - the rules for the impeachment inquiry and hearings - and he systematically torpedoed the idiotic GOP talking points that attempted to scuttle the rules markup and provided teaching moments on what they were doing and why!

They had waited until a couple weeks before the end of the fiscal year (which is an insane time as it is) to try to obligate all the funds and they couldn't, so Congress had to reprogram it so that it could cross FYs.

- the rules have been around for prior hearings (e.g. Benghazi) and are not new
- equal time given to both Minority and Majority for all procedures
- good reasons for closed sessions before the open hearings (keeping witnesses from coordinating their stories)
- president has not been shut out of participation - he's refused to participate or provide any documents
- witnesses have been blocked from testifying and/or been refused documents needed for testimony = attempted coverup to keep the people from learning the truth.

I guess it helps to have a shared yelling-at-the-screen experience every time the GOP starts talking.

And document the turns of it. The republicans are just so bad in putting forth logical defenses that there’s little way I can take them seriously, if I am to try to listen to them all day. Jeers/jabs of truth, and hopefully helpful observations is what I’ve got to share. Can’t help it - would rather be in the conversation than not.

So, yeah, can yell at them, together.
