Civil War my ass...

It's always comical when republicans refer to the coming civil war if Obama wins re-election. As far as they're concerned, the American Civil War is still raging on, centuries after the fact. They THREATEN civil war, bravely, from behind an anonymous keyboard, and then they dust off their grey civil war re-enactment uniforms, take out the hems for added body weight, and put on some charlie daniels records.

If I remember my ancient history, THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA won the civil war, and defeated the insurgents, yet they just can't let the good ol' slavery days of Dixie go. The idea of a black president in their white house is just too much for their tiny brains, even though his mother was a white lady from Kansas. (half white just ain't good enough).

I got your civil war RIGHT HERE assholes.

On edit are you prepared to put on a uniform and come south to enforce your belief

The plantations should have been broken up and given to poor whites and freed slaves, this would have broken the back of the old feudal societal structure.

Oh, and anyone who fought in the Confederate army should have lost their citizenship.

The rank and file were fighting for thir home states on the whole. Question is does ones loyalty lie with something as large as the united states before ones loyalty to ones friends and family.

Bigot: a person who is obstinately or intolerantly devoted to his or her own opinions and prejudices; especially : one who regards or treats the members of a group (in this case, Southerners) with hatred and intolerance

"These" people who talk tough generally never enlisted, they never fought their own fight, they had the school bully beat people up for them, they ginne dup a war then sent others to fight for what these tough-talking couwards lacked the backbone to do: actually get their hands dirty and FIGHT for what they believe in.

these goobers are good at talking up a fight. talking up a "revolution" talking up a civil war. But if the war ever does break out, these tough-talking gutless pieces of shit who told everyone to "stock up on ammo and get ready for the war!" are already laying on beaches in France..

The Kochs and their friends have never been as public using and bragging about their influence than at the GOP convention, huge amounts of money went into influencing the GOP staging victory demonstrations and in buying influence off the convention floor.

The past two years have clearly shown that the plutocrats have in place an infrastructure capable of taking control of many state governments beyond the great plains and south. With the use of their over-sized financial influence now legalized the rich who would be boyars are hoping to have enough puppets in DC to bring about their putsch at the national level.

IOW the coming 'civil war' doesn't depend on the election outcome.

There will be fighting in the streets if Obama is re-elected. First of all, I really DOUBT that, but who does he think "he" will be fighting against? His daughter who has joined the National Guard? No, she will not join the insurgents, not only because she took a oath to defend the USA, but she is actually VOTING for Obama! So, who else? Me? Your other daughter? Your son-in-law? NONE of us, and many, many other people, want to overthrow the government because Obama is our President.

Their silly second "civil war" won't happen because the PEOPLE of this country won't WANT it.

Who the hell would fight in it? I would bet they certainly aren't going to. I sure as hell am not. I would bet that most of the people I know wouldn't either.

They should find something more constructive to do with their time.

Here's a couple of clues for them -- video games, tv shows and movies AREN'T REAL.

may have surrendered (officially)...they never "gave up" the fight. the philosophy that drove their "war" has been carefully instilled into the succeeding generations, nurtured over the decades (centuries), and is just as perverse..and is possibly more dangerous than ever
