Sacha Baron Cohen Uses ADL Speech to Tear Apart Mark Zuckerberg and Facebook

Sacha Baron Cohen accepted the International Leadership Award at the Anti-Defamation League’s Never is Now summit on anti-Semitism and hate Thursday. And the comedian and actor used his keynote speech to single out the one Jewish-American who he believes is doing the most to facilitate “hate and violence” in America: Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg.

He began with a joke at the Trump administration’s expense. “Thank you, ADL, for this recognition and your work in fighting racism, hate and bigotry,” Baron Cohen said, according to his prepared remarks. “And to be clear, when I say ‘racism, hate and bigotry’ I’m not referring to the names of Stephen Miller’s Labradoodles.”

Baron Cohen spent the rest of his speech systematically dismantling a recent address given by Zuckerberg at Georgetown University in which he defended Facebook’s limited attempts to combat its massive problems and explained away its inaction as a defense of “free expression.”

Calling that argument “ludicrous,” Baron Cohen said, “This is not about limiting anyone’s free speech. This is about giving people, including some of the most reprehensible people on earth, the biggest platform in history to reach a third of the planet. Freedom of speech is not freedom of reach. Sadly, there will always be racists, misogynists, anti-Semites and child abusers. But I think we could all agree that we should not be giving bigots and pedophiles a free platform to amplify their views and target their victims.”

It's not advertising, it's mind control. Just because you don't use it for anything but checking on friends and family doesn't mean you're not being dramatically influenced by their marketing. Facebook follows you wherever you go on the internet. There is no opting out, and even if you delete your Facebook, the data they collected on you is still there.

They feed Liberals points too, maybe it's an article they plant on another website that is tailored to your detailed FB psychological profile about A Democratic Candidate, it's mostly normal and positive stuff, but buried in it are a few lines that are designed to plant doubt so when a story comes out later you're more likely to believe it. Maybe something like, "Candidate Johnson campaigning here and doing well, blah, blah, blah...and the rumors about misuse of funds have largely been squashed and this campaign is full speed ahead." Nothing to it when you read it, but 3 weeks from now when a bogus story about Candidate Johnson misusing funds hits the news you'll be 60% more likely to believe it. That's how this stuff works, they're playing the percentages. And it's not just 1 instance, but hundreds that add up to a very predictable outcome for them.

Our candidate will not win unless our tech team has a plan for micro ads on Facebook to combat the misinformation as well as ads to attack Trump. If we do not do it too we will lose.

Hillary Clinton was the most admired women in the country for years running, she has never been charged with a crime, she helps run an A rated charity. But most Dems you meet on the street would say, "Hilary was just not likable, she was a bad candidate." Not likable? She was the most admired women in the world for decades. She was a great person and a great candidate. Her campaign made some mistakes, but she still got 3 million more votes.

The micro ads targeted the Swing states and were devastatingly effective and were the difference. Unless we have a plan to counteract it this time around, there is no chance to win.
