(175,776 posts)PBS just showed what looks like a Vietnam era veteran who may have had tears in his eyes. As she exhorted the audience to vote for President Obama, he nodded his head in agreement. Quite moving, IMO.

(20,029 posts)it occurred to me that Republicans don't talk much about teamwork anymore. Their narrative is all about individualism now. Maybe that's because they seldom find themselves in situations where "our crew had to pull together" as often happens in military service. Perhaps they were too busy serving themselves to gain that kind of experience.
