Trump campaign guts GOP’s anti-Russia stance on Ukraine

WAPO: By Josh Rogin July 18, 2016

The Trump campaign worked behind the scenes last week to make sure the new Republican platform won’t call for giving weapons to Ukraine to fight Russian and rebel forces, contradicting the view of almost all Republican foreign policy leaders in Washington.

As I recall, it was the ONLY change trump made to the GOP platform after securing the nomination. Isn't this kind of important to ponder NOW, given that the White House is trying to wipe off all of their fans?

It seems pretty clear to me that Putin was directing trump's foreign policy well before the election. And I understand they eventually DID receive lethal weapons as part of the assistance package, but that was after political pressure - and likely approved by Putin playing a longer game.

Fucking with Ukraine seems to have been pretty high on trump's gift list to Vlad.

Guess who else was in the room or close by when Manafort, the Trump Campaign people, Ambassador Kislyak,
and other Russians when they talked about changing the Platform to make it more Putin/Ukraine thug friendly?

Mitch McConnell. At that point McConnell knew "the fix was in."

About Russia fucking with our elections: Ryan knew, Mitch knew, McCarthy knew, Pence knew,
and Session knew that the fix was in for 2016.
