The Democratic Party would back these 2 because of their heavy pro-America/American stance i.e. Workers Rights, Made In USA products, U.S. manufacturing, Education, etc. Also, put in place a platform of principles adhering to pre-Citizens United campaigns on Presidential level as well as on state level races. Send a clear message. Even if we lose the money race, these 2 can carry a powerful message, along with the message of bucking Citizens United, it would signify an unyielding return to true American exceptionalism & democracy.
