his last days fighting off unfounded allegations about him and Baltimore started by that a**hole in the people's house.. There is a special place in hell for donald trump. Rest in peace, Congressman. We will continue your fight.

(9,426 posts)What a contrast between the honorable representative Cummins, and the ignorant, parody of a "man" in the WH. So glad the democratic party elects people with brains, and honesty. The gop just wanted someone in the WH who could sign any bills they sent there. Well, they got him, and made a true mess of not only the government, but the entire country. R.I.P. Elijah Cummins. You will be missed.

(11,541 posts)He never let petty attacks and hatred change who he was, a man filled with integrity and love, and a warrior for equality. We were so fortunate to have him in our world and his passing is an enormous loss.

(15,237 posts)Proof positive you are on the right side of history. Cummings mere existence was enough to infuriate a tyrant. I loathe mentioning Elijah Cummings name and Donald Trump in the same paragraph. Cummings stood against the purest evil this nation has experienced since the days of slavery.

(58,785 posts)but he hurt Trump. A lot. As chair of the oversight committee, he undoubtedly deeply regretted that he wouldn't personally be around to finish the job of restoring principle and competent liberal function to government.
