In a room full of men, she has the power.

Every professional woman over the age of 50 gets this photo. The only woman in a room full of powerful arrogant white men. Only in this photo she has the power. Third in line for the Presidency: She IS the MF’ing Speaker of the House! They have to LISTEN! #Priceless #NancyPelosi

I agree with everything except this--every woman should see this photo, not just those of us over 50.

I've been that woman, and believe me, that is in no way being Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi.

Thank you for noticing, though.

She really doesn't count as a staffer and thus not an official part of the meeting.

that said, Liz Cheney is just beyond Pelosi (to her left).

I am truly going to miss Merkel when she leaves as German Chancellor. Thank heavens we have Speaker Pelosi!

8. His expression in this photo - I think - is amusement

He thinks it is really "cute" how these women - Merkel and May - are "trying" to be part of the conversation.

I know he has had women in powerful positions in his business, so it is not a completely novel experience for him - but I suspect he puts women in powerful positions so he can more easily dismiss them than he could a man in a situation in which he is being confronted.

Totally different than Merkel and Pelosi who hold power (in different ways) over him and he can not control.
