Not that long ago people were saying that Pelosi was old and in the way. They were lining up to repeal and replace her.
What say ye now?
She has grabbed him by his peanuts, slapped him in the face, cut off his head, metaphorically speaking. Humiliated him at SOTU with her sarcastic clapping which he was to stupid to grasp. Then today she stood up boldly where no woman has before, in a room of old white men and pointed a finger at him and proceeded to rip him a new one in her calm way. She stripped him bare for the world to see that the 'Emperor' indeed, had no clothes. Then the best zing, I Pray for the President, lol...thoughts and prayers.
She has outmaneuvered him every step of the way.
I ask again, what say ye now?
Brava, Bella!

(1,174 posts)She is experienced. I'm grateful she's on our side. tRump is too stupid to appreciate that
and has no clue who he is dealing with. That it is a woman putting him in his place
is especially delicious to me.

I even think she's foxy!
Note: According to the Merriam-Webster online dictionary, moxie is a slang term that by 1930 meant nerve and verve. https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/moxie The only time I've heard "moxie" used was in the movie Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian, or simply Night at the Museum 2. The word was used by actress Amy Adams portraying Amelia Earhart in reference to the protagonist Larry Daley portrayed by Ben Stiller having "lost his moxie".

But my mind, heart, and soul have been replenished for the trials and tribulations and victories that we're experiencing.
And, yes, I'm voting Democratic in 2020 and beyond.

(2,689 posts)That clap! It was so obviously sarcastic and so obviously over the orange head of the president!
I was not a strong supporter of Pelosi up until then -- no, I didn't want to see her replaced, I just wasn't sure if she had the desire to confront the President.
But that clap! It demonstrated to me how wrong I had been, how badly I'd misjudged her. It was Zen Master Rinzai slapping Jo in the face -- I had a moment of enlightenment in a flash (without the slap!) and understood instantly that here was a fighter, someone we could count on to counter the evil of the trump administration
I was watching the Nats beat up on the Cardinals the other night and -- excuse me if you're a Cards fan -- the "baby shark" clap the crowd of 40+ thousand gave the team at various times during the game reminded me of her clapping at SOTU. I loved it.

She finally did, so most of us are happy that things are moving forward instead of standing still.
