2. impeachment is easier.

removal via the 25th was meant for actually incapacitated people, like wilson after his stroke or a president in a coma.
where nearly everyone agrees he needs to be replaced.

the problem here is that there's no way a majority of his own cabinet will cross him, never mind 2/3rds in *each* house of congress.

if you had enough in congress for that, you've already got more than enough for removal via impeachment.

3. You may have forgotten all the apparent narcissistic rages

he went into as a candidate, as well as his many well-documented bizarre and illegal behaviors then and before. He's not insane. He understands right and wrong, just doesn't care. He IS what sufficient voters chose, maybe somewhat worse but basically the same.

At least one person who wrote the 25th is still alive and was on Maddow explaining that the 25th was not written for buyer's remorse, or for the opposing party to use to overset an election. He believed then that it would not apply because Trump displayed what he was as a candidate and that that was what the people (so to speak) elected.

We need to also remember that a president can fight it in court and, if not removed immediately, the 25th has to be renewed at short intervals.

5. One problem is those around him and his supporters are as wacky as he is in many ways.

I imagine many if not all of his supporters find him to be as healthy as they are ... which really isn't saying much!

though it has been previously reported that she detests Trump, then I'd say the indoctrination/brainwashing of the Pence family is complete. Since VP Pence would have to initiate 25th Amendment action and especially since it appears Trump has effectively implicated him in all things Ukraine, I'm guessing this is not going to happen--ever.

Karen Pence Praises Donald Trump’s Treatment Of Young Women And It Doesn’t Go Well
“I think Mother might be lying for a man who bragged about grabbing women’s genitals for partisan reasons...,” one person fired back on Twitter.

Acutely the last, say, 6 weeks.
It's not just the behavioral stuff either.

Let's breakdown the Kurds/Syria
He is "spineless" in a phone call with Erdogan.
The pulls out US troops. The only thing holding Turkey back.
His spin is that it's only 50 troops..... then it's all of them.
Turkey rolls in.
He threatens Turkey to stop doing what EVERYONE knew would happen with sanctions.
There is no plan to move the 1,000 people. Moving 1,000 people takes planning.
Russia, Iran, and Syria are strengthened beyond repair.
The Kurds are fleeing and then there's the rape* and stoning.
Turns out we have nuclear warheads in Turkey. Not easy to move. Might have been "known" but never acknowledged.
Today Trump writes some sort of late night drunken text letter to Erdogan.

* In no way mean this as a joke but Trump infamously said "Well.... SOMEONE's doing the raping"

13. Crazy indeed, but most of his cabinet is complicit in Trump's misdeeds

They are in full CYA mode. The 25th Amendment card is quite possibly the furthest thing from their minds. At this time, impeachment would be the only method available to hold Trump accountable.

I read that the "25" option is not available because there are so few actual cabinet members. They are mostly ACTING cabinet heads. I don't believe they could do the deed. Am I right?
