The Executive branch is FAR too powerful!

The abuse of power is off the charts.

The right wing Frankenstein’s monster ‘unitary executive’ experiment has failed and is now destroying the castle, killing the villagers and drowning the children.

Rest assured it will be ‘fixed’ before a Democrat sits in the Oval Office again.

You mean like Walker did in WI and McCrory did in NC? Dennis Donovan Oct 2019 #1
During Obama's time, I kept hearing that the executive really has no power at all. FiveGoodMen Oct 2019 #2

... but can be used to achieve things on a temporary basis, but they can be undone just as quickly, e.g. DACA.

... this could be something they could find common cause with a Democratic house and President on, and I'd encourage the democrats to do this. No one idiot should have the power to blow up as much stuff as trump has these past 3 years. We simply cannot have faith that the American electorate will not again elect a similar buffoon in the future. Reforms must be made so that there isn't as much riding on the hope that we elect someone with a modicum of honor and good sense.

The first two things off the top of my head:

1) We've got to officially remove the ability of the president to order a nuclear first strike.
2) We've got to stop the president from being able to blow up treaties and trade deals on a whim.
