UAW delivers big gains for GM workers (deal reached)

https://www.freep.com/story/money/cars/general-motors/2019/10/16/gm-uaw-deal-tentative-agreement-strike/2427733001/

Bigger profit sharing, raises, path to full time for temps, $8000+ per worker when deal is ratrified, no increase share of healthcare costs, and huge investments in US plants.

Really good deal and these workers get to share in the wealth that their labor creates. All workers should demand this, there are few workers who get a fair share of the wealth that their labor creates.

it is in their interest to have the US plants only producing gas and diesel powered vehicles, to ensure there are more UAW employees working.

That was one of their demands during bargaining; not clear if that is part of the proposed contract or not.
