Schumer: Senate republicans promising not to convict Trump under any circumstances

Chuck Schumer ✔@SenSchumer

Senator Lindsey Graham is trying to organize a letter of Senate Republicans promising not to convict President Trump under any circumstances.

Before the House even completes its inquiry.

Senator Graham is pushing Alice-in-Wonderland justice. First the verdict, then the trial.

reagan killed the fairness doctrine in 1987, they bought up 1500 radio stations and created a classic propaganda operation. they used it to deify reagan. gingrich couldn't do squat without it.

fox showed up for visual reinforcement 10 years after in 1996, and the left and dems are still ignoring it.

I have been ringing this bell for years.

If Democrats don't start dealing with this issue we will never be rid of this cancer.

Right wing talk radio, on the public air waves mind you, is nothing more than a billion dollar 24 hour campaign contribution paid for by multi-millionaires and billionaires who would gladly watch the country and everything it stands for burn to the ground rather than risk losing a precious dollar.

The houses inquiry should make it most plain how much trump deserves to be removed from office. The case in the Senate for removal should merely be pointing towards the work of the House and saying "That."

Public sentiment is currently 52% in favor of impeachment and removal from office, and it's growing. So, please, deny the public what they're demanding. Make the public wonder how dirty you are, all within a year of the election.

Please proceed.

Trumpy shit on his face today.

Now Graham is warning Trumpy that Graham might be Trumpy's "worst nightmare", blah, blah, blah. Graham won't go after Trumpy, but he may not get around to organizing that letter, either.

Not when 40% of our population hates Democrats more than Putin. Not when mass media waters down every allegation or accusation that is lodged against a -R and amplifies all conspiracy theory nonsense spewed against the Dems. Not when a national radio force pumps out propaganda all day long, every day of the week. Not when people are too stupid or apathetic to pay attention to the things that matter. No, the GOP will vote in Trump's favor; everyone else will end up in prison, but Trump and his Russian friends will rig another election and even a blue wave won't overcome the trickery in store for us. Good times.

If Democrats make Senate gains, and Trump squeaks back into office, precedent is set for more impeachment articles, and a fast dispatch. Mitch has played with fire long enough. He doesn't own it.

should be prevented from attending the voting session as their presence could corrupt the remaining voters.

(And the conviction requires 2/3 of the Senators present, not necessarily 67 votes.)

Before we’ve even had a trial.

We’re all reserving judgement on Trump’s guilt or innocence until after the trial, right?

Rare that a Senator calls out another publicly like that.

And the kompromat on Scarlett must be strong.

Thank you Constitution for providing 2 senators for large tracts of dirt with a few people.

I strongly encourage Mr Graham to continue in this pursuit.

Those words will come back to bite him, a thousand times over.

The trial is just for show. We've fallen to a level our founders couldn't have conceived, and the Republicans, a minority party, is trying to destroy us.

Let's be clear what that means :

* no matter what he did
* no matter what the evidence
* and no matter what crimes he CONTINUES TO COMMIT

Let that sink in.
