(2,309 posts)Of the countries on that list, it's the one with the worst Press Freedom ranking by Reporters Without Borders. Only Turkmenistan and North Korea are worse.
Lock him up.

(1,957 posts)should be easy to prove. Part of the reason is that for the property tax assessments, he had to have a private third party State-Certified Appraiser provide the valuation. This person would now stand to lose his/her license and would have reason to role over on Trump. And believe me, the NY State tax authority is going to be interested in this kind of tax fraud. The bank fraud may be a little more difficult to prove because the bank which he gave the application to is the party who would need to file a complaint. If they don't, it may be a moot point unless some State or Federal department of banking takes it up(don't know how this works).
Lock him up.

(16,820 posts)And if Deutsche Bank ever comes through with what they have, it will add fuel to the fire. We really need his tax returns, though. Everybody needs to see how he's violated the emoluments clause and he likely put that money away and didn't even pay taxes on it. I saw that 52% want him impeached and removed now. It would be a good time for him to make a deal now and resign, before all that information is released. If he wants to live in this country, and I think he does, it would be wise to quit soon.

(21,859 posts)with fraud inside and out. Why didn't anyone ever catch this earlier is my question? Someone had to notice these returns earlier, that is, they do have auditors don't they?
Lock him up.
(6,874 posts)OTOH, he filed a correction on his financial disclosures after the Cohen TAPE aired everywhere.
AFTER he hid his CRIME = Article of Impeachment no. ???

(21,859 posts)in auditing), so despite the 'complexity' and such, and being that rump is not the only businessman out there, this is no excuse. More than likely, they didn't have all of the materials available to them to fully evaluate the returns OR the supporting documentation was faked up/mocked up. I can't believe that someone of rump's so called caliber getting his returns a passing grade. The point I'm making is that somewhere along the line, someone did catch discrepancies and then got brought off, or something like that. I wouldn't be surprised.
Take care!
And you're absolutely right, perhaps another article of impeachment, in filing false returns.

(10,946 posts)Years ago I was in banking and the bank I worked for bought another bank. There was one guy who has a relationship with each bank ($100,000.00 line of credit with each bank). Once the banks merged the financial statements that he gave each loan officer ended up on the same Credit Analyst's desk. Wouldn't you know it, each financial statement reported one $100,000.00 loan, not two. Loan Officer saw the loan he granted and Loan Officer B saw the loan that he had granted. That lending relationship came to a halt pretty quickly once they realized that the guy was trying to pull a fast one.
