Apparently the Syrian army is marching north to take on the invading Turks, squishing the Kurds between them. And this may pull in Syrian allies so the whole damned thing becomes a conflagration.

Edit to add: I was thinking this morning that it's possible that we could see war here in the continental US at some point. We have not seen a real shootin' war on our soil in a long time. Scary stuff.

They are inviting the Syrian army to help them and help them they will. Wouldn’t be surprised if the Northern Syria Kurds ally with them in the fight.
