New PPP Florida poll: No bounce for Romney, who has worst favorability of all RNC primetime speakers

So far this info is just from Public Policy Polling tweets

http://twitter.com/ppppolls

but the complete poll should be on their website

http://www.publicpolicypolling.com/

very soon and I'll post the link and excerpts when it's there.

In the meantime, their tweets this evening are interesting, and encouraging for us:

No bounce for Romney in Florida- Obama leads 48-47, exactly identical to our last poll there 5 weeks ago

33% in FL said convention made them more likely to vote GOP, 33% less likely to vote GOP, 34% no difference either way

36% in FL have favorable opinion of Eastwood speech, 41% unfavorable. But overall favorability still 72/11. Didn't hurt his image too much

Florida voters on who gives better speeches: Obama 58, Romney 32...could be one reason for no convention bounce

We polled on every primetime speaker at the RNC and the one with the worst favorability numbers is...Mitt Romney

Obama continues to have his modest lead in Florida because he's up 51-39 with independents, 63-33 with non-white voters, and 54-40 with voters over 45. Romney's up 54-42 with whites and 53-44 with folks over 45 but he would need bigger margins with those groups to lead in the state overall.
