The Congress (Democrats and Republicans) need to get a handle on this.

Last edited Fri Oct 4, 2019, 09:55 AM - Edit history (1)

The two sides have to find a way to communicate on this matter.

It is important for our national security.

There needs to be a consensus about what is happening here.

The emails, that Adam Schiff has released, have told us so much more than we knew.

I would recommend everyone read them. Especially pages 8 and 9.

which is why the "hyper-partisanship". They have watched nearly 10 years of their own party chopping off heads and placing them on stakes in front of them as a warning (sorry for the graphic imagery). And if they were able to successfully "fake it", it then it has become harder and harder for them to pivot to "normal" once the general election comes around because their base will run 3rd party loons to funnel votes from them (meaning they lose)... And although we might benefit from that, it only reinforces their decision to never "pivot" nor "act normal" in order to survive (thus torpedoing the idea of operating in a bipartisan fashion), which is sad.

The vast amount of interference in our elections, through $$$ and shaming during the primaries, has killed it all.

that is so cowardly that they are allowing themselves to be held hostage to the crazies, including T-rump. The crazies are really loud and, yes, sometimes they win primaries, but I would think that more people would respect them and maybe even more inclined to keep them in office (not that I want more Republicans in office, mind you) if they stand up to the crazies and tell them (and Trump) to piss off and let the chips fall where they may.

You have nefarious billionaires who are funding the crazies and anti-government zealots and if a candidate acts appropriately crazy, they can catch the attention of these wealthy Constitution-haters, who will get them elected.

It boils down to this - if you keep the Congress twisted in knots with hyper-partisanship, then nothing gets done and the criminal wealthy class can go about their criminal activities without a worry.

and if the billionaires don't feel like they're properly respected, they'll threaten to run themselves.

that Trump "did nothing wrong". Or, at minimum, question whether Trump's clear abuse of his office "is a crime" or "rises to impeachment".

M$M gets a big assist for advancing the disarray, as usual, with little pushback on these Republican talking points, and instead normalizing the bad behavior.
