The less exposure they get the better. Their audience of old, mainly racist white people is a demographic that declines every day.

This generation is facing horrible financial times. They don't feel financially safe, if they go to college they will be buried in student loans that will be more than their mortgage in some cases. One of my former students went to the dark side. He went to college utilizing his military benefits and then went on to serve in Iraq. He came home and his military benefits would not pay for the required hours to complete his degree (he was deployed in the middle of the semester twice so he had to drop and then retake the courses when he got back).

After he graduated he had trouble finding a professional position in his field and had to go back to the military. He is out again now, has a job a wife and a new baby. I keep track of him on facebook and he has said they can't afford a house.

People who face this will go to the dark side if we don't offer them an option.

Don't be fooled, there are some young ones out there, some are overt racists, but some are like the young man above. We need to offer alternatives.

I have not seen the same acceptance of Trump among young, educated people that you describe.
I guest lecture occasionally at a University (Government and International Studies courses), and my experience has been a small minority of Trumpers (all affluent looking white frat boys and the occasional white girl with an entitled chip on her shoulder) who are generally ignored and denigrated by their peers.
I do strongly agree with your statement that we have to offer them alternatives - just asking them to vote against Trumpism is not enough to motivate young voters.

The ones I see are mainly white, frat boys like you describe. But more and more of them are like the one I talked about, working class kids trying their best to get ahead and they feel like the system is against them. We as Democrats have to offer them something tangible. We need to rebuild the middle class before we do anything else. Not sure how to do that, but it has to be done.

I am just saying for us to think all of the Trump and Fox people are old and getting ready to die is a little off base.

They are getting better as the time rolls on! Some of the CNN people are really dumb though!
