And the Rep party will be fractured because Trump will take them down with him.

Can you imagine him sitting quietly watching a God-bothering dweeb from a flyover state sitting in *his* chair?

And even if Pence does manage to emerge from this cesspool smelling like roses, he'll still have a Democratic House of Representatives to hold him in check.

Pence is up to his eyeballs in the Ukrainian mess. Trump, Pence and the entire team of criminals need to go. Out the door and into the courts. Needless to say, the Republican Party will crumble in their wake. Couldn't happen to a better bunch, IMHO!

He may be impeached, but the Senate will never vote to remove him so long as it is in the hands of treasonous Republicans like McConnell, who put party over politics and are willing to overlook Trump’s illegal conduct if it means appointing wing nuts to the courts.

Trump will leave only after we elect a new President or win back the Senate so he can be impeached and removed.

If Trump resigns, he will be subject to prosecution for various alleged crimes in New York and perhaps elsewhere, even if he is pardoned by Pence. His ego and narcissistic personalitY disorder likely would be an impediment as well. Nixon was far smarter and had far more class and respect for this country and its institutions (which isn’t saying much).

have basically been running the day-to-day show anyhow.

A few points

1) Pence has 0 charisma and was unpopular in RED Indiana before being named Trump's VP. He won't fire up the Deplorable Base like Trump did.

2) Without Trump dominating the news cycle, the media will be able to pay more attention to the horrific Trump/GOP policies

3) As a WARNING - Here in my state of Connecticut, Super-Corrupt Republican John Rowland resigned in the face of impeachment. The woman that was his lieutenant governor for the previous 10 years took office and was able to get the media to believe she knew nothing about all the corruption around Rowland. (the local editorial cartoonist put her head on a Snow White costume, for example) - she won election to a full term 2 years later by a record margin because she was so popular.

First, I doubt if Pence could come even close to galvanizing the racist cultist the way 45 days. Pence lacks charisma.
Secondly, even suggesting that Pence is going to be worse is suggesting we should keep the current pers...hum...breathing being in office, and that doesn't seem logical.

Lastly, so what if he's worse?!?!? We have a constitution and laws and a rich history of activism. We can deal with it.
