This is pretty remarkable.
Now you, I, and every other DU poster knows the Mueller report was devastating to Trump, he committed crimes in it, there is no doubt.
But here you have him declaring victory in it, and much of the country moving on, and low and behold, he gets caught red handed for the exact same thing, asking a foreign country to intervene in the US political process.
It's like someone gets put on trial for murder and gets off on a technicality, and then a week after they're free they get caught on video killing someone else in the exact same manor they were accused of in the first trial. Everyone will know he worked with Russia all along. You cannot write this any better, it's like a movie of the week it was so predictable.

(2,229 posts)Tell that to the people who live in manors in England, where the term originated.
Definition, per Google: "a large country house with lands; the principal house of a landed estate".
It is a large house with a lot of land, but the term has no link to the South (antebellum or otherwise).

(11,438 posts)In his hubris, Trump has given a gift to the Democratic committees in the House already investigating Trumps criminal activity with the Russians and is also connected to the 2016 election interference. He has seriously stepped in it. We are now watching Republicans mad scramble to discount and minimize it all. Unfortunately for them, there is a demonstrable pattern.

they know "the base" will believe what Trump tells them regardless of what the pure, naked, truth standing in front of them really is.

And few are mentioning it. In fact, it's a buried interpretation.

It is the way he continuously pushes the envelope.
Pushes to test just how far he can go before getting called for it.
He then walks up to just approaching that line and continues to expand his agenda.
