Good solid lifelong Dems who have the stench of Maralago in their back yard. They said last night officials don’t want evacuations to start until they have a better idea where the hit will be, because they don’t want people who don’t need to evacuate clogging up the escape routes for everyone else.

Friends we made on our 3 week cruise to Australia last October. They renovate houses and sell them. Mar-a-Lago is not far from them, and are virtual prisoners when Trump is in residence.

Tammy had a Real Estate/Investment Firm she sold. Wealthy, but very grounded and Democratic to the core. She and I got into it with with some Trumpers while on the cruise, causing quite a stir on Social issues.

A bit south of WPB. He is taking his cats and staying with a friend in Delray (more inland). His apartment complex is right on the beach and the whole place is probably evacuating.

They haven't announced mandatory evacuations yet, but probably will later today. Guessing it will be for West Palm Beach at a min. Don't know which other places will be included, possibly the Orlando area?

Edit - fixed typo

it will be on the city's website: https://www.fortlauderdale.gov/

It's my understanding that other cities do the same thing. Sometime certain portions of cities are ordered to evacuate due to flooding concerns.

Also, status of evacuation orders and zones in Florida can be accessed here: https://www.floridadisaster.org/info/

You can type in an address and find out what zone it is in and whether that zone has been ordered to evacuate.
