When Democrats win back the White House, it will be necessary to rebuild the entire government.

Entire branches of government remade. Highly important work reshaping our laws to prevent the next dump from ever happening again.

I’m not certain that old Allies would ever trust American leadership again. The civilized world is working together on solutions while trump isolates America. I hope we can still attract intelligent moral public servants, and at the same time worry we will never get the opportunity.

Fuck bipartisanship -- get rid of ALL OF THEM. Don't let those that seem less deplorable (e.g., Christopher Wray) right now stay on and pull a Comey on us again. Get rid of them ALL.

That last tax cut, ostensibly for the rich to invest with —trickle down — never worked (AGAIN).... and yet most citizens believe it did somehow. What they have been seeing is the tapering off of Obama's economic rebound after the last Republican economic failure (the Great Recession).

People like Bernie Sanders, Warren, etc., are drawing attention to the failure of Republican economics, but the mainstream media fails to comprehend what they are saying (because they are ENTERTAINERS who assess personalities, not policies).

"Who's going to pay it back?
Republicans say YOU will pay it back. The average worker.
Democrats say billionaires and corporations should pay it back. They're the ones who got the borrowed money after all."

Democrats are the party of American workers. American workers should vote Dem.

Entire floors are empty in many government departments. Career government experts have fled or been fired.

This will take a long time to fix. Reshaping the laws, rebuilding our world standing will take longer. I don't think it will be accomplished in my lifetime. I am seventy.

Remember... the EC is heavily slanted toward the rebukes. We only win with turnout, and we won't get turnout when our candidates are accusing each other of being racist during the primary.

How can we vandal-proof our federal regulatory agencies? The Republicans took a page from Edward Abbey's The Monkey Wrench Gang. From those that want to mine the Grand Canyon to those that came to demolish the CPB...these people are a threat to all of us.

We need to fix the voting system.
1) Eliminate the Electoral College or modify it so the will of the people is realized.
2) Eliminate gerrymandering. Districts should be drawn up in a nonpartisan fashion.
3) Eliminate voter suppression and intimidation.

Eliminate lobbying. It's just legalized bribery. Lobbying is a HUGE problem in America.

Term limits? I don't know

That's all I can think of off the top of my head.

Also, reform campaign funding.
Roll back Citizens United. Make EVERY political donation disclosed - no dark money Super PACs.
Disclose donors to rightwing foundations - ALEC, AEI, Heritage, SPN, Hillsdale College, Hudson, Bradley, Claremont, AFP.
The rest of your list is tip-top.

If anyone believes that rebuilding the government will be a slam dunk you are in for a rude awakening.
There are tens of millions of Trump supporters, Republicans who tend to vote like it's their duty as opposed to Democrats who too often need to be excited and motivated to vote.
So even if the Democrats do win next time, it will take many years if ever to rebuild the government with the right fighting against it tooth and nail.
