Jill Winebanks just said that the OLC rule is ridiculous and that

any state prosecutor can go to the courts (SCOTUS?) to get this OLC rule that is protecting the fake prez (any POTUS actually) changed. I didn't know this. Why didn't the Dems do this or suggest it by now?

Sone state attorneys general are working on it.

But they also have to be prepared for all the various special legal challenges due to him being president, so it takes a while.

by the DOJ.

Whether a state prosecutor can or can't indict a sitting President would be up to the Supreme Court to ultimately decide.

Until a state prosecutor actually has an indictment to bring, nothing will likely happen in that regard.

ever convict trump on anything related to the election — there will always be a few white wingers to hang a jury. I doubt any prosecutor would bring the case.
