Is this "census" issue some type of showdown between Trump and Roberts?

And it's really all part of the plan to take over all three Branches of Government?

What can the Supreme Court do if Trump issues an "executive order"?

I suppose the whole Court could rule upon it? How would they rule? Nobody knows.

When all is said and done, the Congress is the only sheriff in town. It is up to the Congress to hold the Executive accountable to the laws of our country.

If they don't do it, then nobody does.

No one should assume that Robert Mueller will do the predictable thing and define exactly what his report says? In the end, he may let the Republicans and Donald Trump define it for him?

We simply don't know.

Will we be a country of men or will we be a country of laws?

A country of men will no longer be a democracy. It will be something else.

Doesn't make any difference who the opponent is - friend, foe or other - his whole world is win or lose. People should have known when Roberts wrote that pansy-assed opinion that he put himself square in Trump's sights.

And the issue is more than the census question - it is also whether the Trump admin can intimidate the CJ and SCOTUS. On this one my bet is that Roberts folds like a cheap suit.

They might agree with Trump?

He wanted to try and maintain some semblance of the balance of powers.

Very interesting...

He'd still have to come up with a better reason, and the longer they ponder the less likely it flies.
