He whined about how much he has to spend on lawyers.
Trump attacked the entire state of New York on Monday because he and his family face multiple investigations there for a range of potential illegal activities.
In a series of three tweets sent in the early afternoon, Trump whined about his corrupt foundation, the cost of living in New York, and how much money his family has to spend on lawyers because of the many investigations into their alleged wrongdoing:
"It is very hard and expensive to live in New York. Governor Andrew Cuomo uses his Attorney General as a bludgeoning tool for his own purposes. They sue on everything, always in search of a crime, I even got sued on a Foundation which took Zero rent & expenses & gave away more money than it had. ... Now Cuomo's A.G. is harassing all of my New York businesses in search of anything at all they can find to make me look as bad as possible. So, on top of ridiculously high taxes, my children and companies are spending a fortune on lawyers. No wonder people and businesses are fleeing New York in record numbers!"
Trump, his family, and his businesses are facing legal trouble from the state of New York on multiple fronts.
At the end of 2018, Trump was forced to shutter his namesake foundation after prosecutors alleged "repeated and willful" acts of corruption. New York's attorney general filed a lawsuit last year accusing Trump and three of his adult children (Eric, Don Jr., and Ivanka) of engaging in "persistently illegal conduct" while running the foundation and seeking $2.8 million in restitution.

(15,536 posts)If he was as rich as he always claimed to be, he wouldn't be worried about lawsuits. If he wasn't such a sociopathic liar and criminal, he wouldn't be in this position.
I want to see the State of New York haunt them for the rest of their lives, and their ill begotten gains tied up in courts for the rest of their lives so his ugly spawn and ugly wife are penniless and end up kicking themselves for standing by him in the hopes that they could continue their privileged and pampered lives.
Finally, I want the Trump name tarnished so badly that it's right up their with the name Hitler.
Everything you said!
Additionally, I hope this stresses him out so much that he strokes out on national television. May this nightmare soon be over.
And that it happens on the 4th of July.

Many smaller towns are still waiting to be paid for the police security they provided to him when he visited. Most of these small towns do not have extra money to spend on this orange lump.

The Donald J. Trump Foundation and Eric Trump Foundation have shifted hundreds of thousands of dollars intended for charity to the Trump Organization, the presidents family business conglomerate, Forbes reports.
Eric Trump, the president's second son, has claimed that because he can use Trump National Golf Club for free, 100 percent of the funds raised by his foundation's charity golf tournament go to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital to help children with cancer. However, tax filings made by the Eric Trump Foundation and other charities show that the Trump Organization has received payments in the past for the use of the golf course and club part of more than $1.2 million paid out by the foundation that has no documented recipients beyond the Trump Organization. Two people directly involved in the organizations told Forbes it was Donald J. Trump who specifically ordered that the Trump Organization start billing the Eric Trump Foundation for use of the club.
From 2007 to 2010, the first four years that the Eric Trump Foundation, a public charity, held the golf tournament, total expenses associated with the tournament averaged about $50,000 not the zero claimed by Eric Trump but in line with what other charities pay to host outings at Trump courses. But tournament expenses jumped to $142,000 in 2011 and to $322,000 by 2015. "In the early years, they weren't being billed <for the club> the bills would just disappear," said Ian Gillule, who served as membership and marketing director at the golf club at that time. "Mr. Trump had a cow. He flipped. He was like, 'We're donating all of this stuff, and there's no paper trail? No credit?' And he went nuts. He said, 'I don't care if it's my son or not everybody gets billed.'"
The Donald J. Trump Foundation, which has come under scrutiny for self-dealing and advancing the business interests of its founder, apparently also used the Eric Trump Foundation to funnel donations to the Trump Organization. According to Forbes, the Donald J. Trump Foundation made a $100,000 donation to the Eric Trump Foundation to offset costs associated with the golf events, Gillule told Forbes that is, Donald Trump's foundation, which at the time was receiving gifts from outside donors, made a donation to Eric Trump's foundation so that it could meet its obligations to the Trump Organization. Eric Trump told Forbes that expenses for the tournament were "somewhere around a hundred grand," and his foundation declined to provide details about the $322,000 in costs ...

President Donald Trump and his three children have agreed to shut down a charity, The Donald J. Trump Foundation, due to a number of scandalous accusations being made against it by the State of New York.
"Weve secured a stipulation requiring the Trump Foundation to dissolve under judicial supervision, with our review of recipient charities," New York Attorney General Barbara Underwood tweeted on Tuesday. "The Foundation functioned as little more than a checkbook to serve Mr. Trumps interests. Our lawsuit remains ongoing."
In additional tweets, Underwood added that "Todays stipulation accomplishes a key piece of the relief sought in our lawsuit earlier this year. Under the terms, the Foundation can only distribute its remaining charitable assets to reputable organizations that we have approved. This is an important victory for the rule of law. There is one set of rules for everyone. Well continue to move our suit forward to ensure that the Trump Foundation and its directors are held accountable for their clear and repeated violations of state and federal law."
The suit filed by the State of New York in June accuses Trump's charity of "persistently illegal conduct" and wanted to not only have it shut down, but also pay $2.8 million in restitution, according to The Washington Post. The State of New York has been pursuing legal action against Trump's charity since 2016, and as far back as 2015 the charity admitted in tax filings that it had engaged in self-dealing. In her investigation, Underwood claims to have discovered that The Trump Foundation engaged in multiple occasions of self-dealing, illegal coordination with his presidential campaign and other acts that violated the law. Although Trump attempted to close the charity in late 2016, the State of New York prevented him from doing so in order to continue its investigation into whether it had broken the law ...

(3,435 posts)..been filed against el odious traitor in WH. Democratic leadership is awaiting findings on said congressional investigations in order to proceed, add findings to impending articles of impeachment One would think that bribng, cohersing two women (two separate cases) and paying them 130,000 each to keep quet about his affairs with them, violating campaign fiance laws would be enough that along with Mueller report findings citing at least 6 counts of obstruction would be enough to impeach. Yet we wait --to impeach the con, crook, self-admitted sexual predator with yet nother woman coming forward this past week accusing him of sexual assault, rape. Have we just gone numb to his daily maldad [bad, evil, sick behavior] if anyone of us would have committed anyone of these crimes we would have been handcuffed, arrested, and sitting in prision right now like his buddy Michel Cohen--doing time for a crime his boss (truml) ordered him to do. Amazing!
I recently watched Netflex comedy special with Chris Rock ..he said something like... sometimes people just don't get their just desserts in this life; sometimes karma doesn't come around to those that do wrong...just doesn't happen..so accept it.

(51,282 posts)The best part about all this, according to Eric Trump, is the charity's efficiency: Because he can get his family's golf course for free and have most of the other costs donated, virtually all the money contributed will go toward helping kids with cancer. "We get to use our assets 100% free of charge," Trump tells Forbes.
That's not the case. In reviewing filings from the Eric Trump Foundation and other charities, it's clear that the course wasn't free--that the Trump Organization received payments for its use, part of more than $1.2 million that has no documented recipients past the Trump Organization. Golf charity experts say the listed expenses defy any reasonable cost justification for a one-day golf tournament.
Additionally, the Donald J. Trump Foundation, which has come under previous scrutiny for self-dealing and advancing the interests of its namesake rather than those of charity, apparently used the Eric Trump Foundation to funnel $100,000 in donations into revenue for the Trump Organization.
And while donors to the Eric Trump Foundation were told their money was going to help sick kids, more than $500,000 was re-donated to other charities, many of which were connected to Trump family members or interests, including at least four groups that subsequently paid to hold golf tournaments at Trump courses.
I grow weary of the noises he makes.
