......approve of this
Tapper then cited an article from The New Yorker that reported children were filthy, sleeping on cold floors, and taking care of each other because of the lack of attention from guards.
I know you. Youre a father, youre a man of faith, Tapper said, looking straight at Pence. You cant approve of that.
Well, no American, no American, should approve of this mass influx of people coming across our border, Pence replied.
It is overwhelming our system.

Couple of things that Tapper got wrong.... Firstly, Pence is not a man of faith in any real sense of the word. Secondly, Pence is a white supremacist, he does not see children he sees a different colour and a threat to his supremacy. That is all he sees. You cannot rationalise with a racist, fact free wanker.

OP
There is no "real sense of the word" regarding "faith." Religion is ALWAYS what people choose

to embrace. Their sacred texts always, always, ALWAYS include a metric crap-ton of things they either ignore, or rationalize away because it does not fit their worldview. Always.
So. Mike Pence is ABSOLUTELY a "man of faith."
