When she refused to testify about Whitewater? She ignored a subpoena, Republicons locked her up. Why arent we employing this strategy with hicks, dump jr and Barr?

Me.
(35,454 posts)She was regularly manacled and spent a long time in solitary. Ken Starr was vicious in his treatment of her.

(70,090 posts)this needs to run through the courts to the end of some of these cases.
we need the judiciary in this fight, and she wants to see them fully engaged.
that means seeing someone go to jail.
i think they chose hicks purposely, because they know twitler will lose it, and make fatal mistakes.
but there are a lot of other good candidate for prisoner 1. mcgahn would be my choice.
or jr.

(33,643 posts)Courts have powers to lock people up ... that the House does not have at it's disposal.
She didn't go to jail for ignoring a congressional subpoena, and Repubs didn't lock her up (not directly anyway).

(56,828 posts)Starr was authorized under the Special Prosecutor law, which is different and stronger than the Special Counsel rules that Mueller had to adhere to. Was Miller referred to DOJ to get locked up, or was it directly from Congress?
