Instead of laughing at Bertie Wooster’s controversial choice of purple socks, the head of al-Qaeda seems to have preferred high-profile critics of the US government such as Chomsky and Palast, while concentrating entirely on serious politics, law and, especially, conspiracy theories. 4. bin Laden probably also had porn, and the NYT or WaPo. The fact bin Laden had it is not what

determines whether or not somebody is a journalist, or whether or not the person whose work material bin Laben possessed had acted inappropriately.

The question of whether or not JAss is a journalist should be answered by examining his work practices and patterns, not by invoking an anecdote of a particular triggering bogeyman, or an appeal to the consequences.
