(18,672 posts)It literally died after the Civil War, but ideologically, it's still alive and has been dragging American down for over 150 years now. We have seen first hand what happens to racist, undereducated, impoverished, religiously zealous states. They become human shit holes. I feel so bad for the majority of people who are stuck in these places. Ensuring people aren't living in poverty and have access to a classical education would go far in preventing their being hijacked by special interests who don't give a shit about the people they're supposed to be representing. This actually goes for the entire country. We've allowed ourselves to be hijacked.

The fight for the Soul of this country is on again, and in a far more dangerous era.
God knows what might go down in the next 2-3 years.
Those of us for truth, justice, Fairness, compassion etc need to show up and vote all the way down to school boards....and get as active as possible to thwart this push by the far right.

(17,937 posts)Those who want to immigrate north to Canamerica are more than welcome. Our nuts can head south for Jebusland, where they can go all Gilead until their hearts are content. Problem solved.

(2,995 posts)I'm hoping this will be a "travel advisory" for businesses. The protostomes who passed these laws obviously won't listen to women, but they'll sure as anything notice if businesses are reluctant to move to their states.

(34,463 posts)over some competitors was the legal environment. VAs laws arent perfect but they are much better than those in the Deep South. Businesses are very aware of these trends and how they will affect recruiting and retention of Gen Z.

(11,686 posts)you get any type of procedure done about side effects, possible post complications, and dangers should include a list of states you should never visit again as one of the complications would be prison.

By the way, when Pat Robertson tells a state government that it went to far, it really screwed up!
